Importing Text

Why Import Text?

  • You may want to paste text from documents you have already created, for example a Microsoft Word document.
  • This may create problems as these programs use special formatting which may disrupt and override your website styles and formatting.
  • You can still use this text but you need to follow a few simple steps.
  • Copy the text you wish to transfer onto your website

How to Import Text

    Go to the page you want to insert the text and click on Edit

    Select the paste from Word icon

    • This should convert the copied text to your formatting.
    • Do not use the normal Paste icon or CTRL+V to paste word content
    • Some browsers also allow you to right click and select "Paste as text" which will also remove the word formatting
